Lunar new year is really
nothing terribly spectacular.

anyway, everyone's got
different agendas in
giving some hoots to the festival.

personally, i participate in housevisiting
because i prefer not to
give relatives the opportunity to gloat
at my parents for failing to
bring up a Model Kid.

i refrain from being myself during CNY
in order not to let relatives
enjoy the high of despising my parents and I.

i choose to tolerate the annual session of
analysing one anothers' (lack of) achievements
in the year just so
I can get the kick out of knowing its
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED and that
it'll be another year till we meet again.

LNY is a time of tension and competition
as relatives scramble to top one another
in every aspect of human civilisation.

its all quite routine, really.

there's the annual moment-of-shock
experienced by relatives of our failure
to remain age eleven forever
somehow, the concept of growth is
difficult for Relatives to grasp.
they expect that children do not
complete the normal human life cycle.

highlight this year is
the decision made
by cousins and aunts to be fertile,
adding (yet) more Little People to this failing humanity.

be awed by the Smallness of Little People.

Baby 1 Looking Distraught

Baby 1 with new outfit, taken together with
Grandaunt I dont fancy very much.
(for being overly expressive about
hating her daughter-in-law
and for hurling too much hokkien
profanities when discussing about daughter-in-law:
b*tchy.)

Baby 2, stunned.

Baby3, terribly hairy piece of Mini Human.

Human Beings draped under Clothe prancing around
and getting aunties very high.

Humans under clothe "blessing" the office.

orange formation created by Lion,
who received $100 worth of HongBao for it.
enterprising Lion.
